I don’t need to be wildly famous for my life to make sense. I guess I’m kind of happy where I’m at, and I take whatever comes and it’s a good thing. So I think what I’ve already been given, as far as being able to do these shows, is such a blessing. It’s really cool to be able to do it. It’s not a job that a whole lot of people get to do. while he does need help with his singing, it’s a hollow attempt to spend more time with her. even if she kind of scares him still, she’s really cool. she made a speech in celibacy club that totally left him like… well, it just really impressed him. of course, she’s prepared a picnic for him because she thinks he’ll be thirsty. she’s always thinking of him. it makes him feel good - like he has someone who really cares about him. there’s a bit of an awkward moment and he’s fumbling with his words, but it’s not his fault. he apparently doesn’t know where his heart is, but she helps him find it. he’s surprised at how fast it’s beating, and he tries not to think about how close she is to him. she makes him really nervous. she’s so smart and she’s really pretty and then she does things that he thinks are completely adorable, like not realizing that she’s got cosmo on her lip. he wipes it off and he really wants to kiss her all of a sudden. he doesn’t know why he just…does. and like she can read his mind, she tells him he can, if he wants to, and he really wants to. the kiss is intense. like that kind that you see in movies and on tv and stuff, but this is real life. her lips are soft and puffy and all kinds of perfect. he breaks away from her for a second, because he’s scared that she might have changed her mind, but she looks okay, so he leans back in and she grows a little bolder and rolls her hip against his and - mailman, mailman, mailman - he breaks away from her and pulls his shirt down, hoping that she doesn’t notice what’s happening or why he’s freaking out. he mumbles something to her and he’s not even sure what it is, and his instinct is just to run away. he doesn’t know what just happened, but it scares him. a lot.
